Allows qualified electors to register to vote on election day at the polling place by applying to the township, city, or village clerk or authorized assistant clerk.

Requires the clerk or assistant clerk to be present at polling places during all hours of operation on election day to receive voter registration applications.

Registrations accepted at the polling place on election day are valid for that election and all subsequent elections.

Removes the prohibition on voter registration on the day of an election, permitting same-day registration as an alternative to the 30-day advance registration requirement.

Establishes procedures for same-day registration including execution of a sworn statement, oath verification of elector qualifications, and preparation of registration cards for the board of election inspectors.
