Allows pupils graduating in 2016-2021 to fulfill up to 1 credit of the 2-credit foreign language requirement by completing an approved career and technical education program or visual/performing arts instruction beyond standard requirements.

Requires at least 4 mathematics credits including algebra I, geometry, algebra II, and one additional course, with allowance to fulfill algebra II requirement through approved career and technical education programs in electronics, machining, construction, welding, engineering, computer science, or renewable energy.

Mandates at least 1 mathematics course during final year of high school enrollment and requires department guidelines for implementation within 30 days of the act's effective date.

Maintains specialty school exemptions for up to 15 high schools that meet rigorous criteria including ACT performance standards, 85% graduation rates, and 75% postsecondary enrollment, while requiring these schools to maintain full mathematics and enhanced science requirements.

Effective immediately upon approval by the Governor on September 30, 2014.
