Allows law enforcement to return seized wolf-dog crosses to owners if conditions resulting in seizure have been corrected, with court approval required if seizure was pursuant to court process.

Requires law enforcement to provide written notice of seizure and intent to forfeit within 10 days to the owner, persons with ownership interests, and any injured parties or property damage victims.

Changes notice delivery method effective January 1, 2015 from personal delivery or certified mail to certified mail combined with tier B public notice under the local government public notice act.

Requires law enforcement to return seized wolf-dog crosses to owners within 7 days upon failure to issue warrant or file complaint within 10 days, dismissal of charges, court determination against forfeiture, acquittal, or court order for return.

Directs forfeited wolf-dog crosses to be transferred to wildlife sanctuaries, animal shelters, or accredited zoos for humane care, or humanely euthanized if the animal killed or injured a human or other animal; owners remain liable for all costs of seizure, placement, care, and disposition.
