MI HB6015

Amends the Metropolitan Transportation Authorities Act of 1967 to change publication requirements for political subdivision resolutions authorizing contracts with transportation authorities.

Before January 1, 2015, resolutions must be published in a local newspaper of general circulation; beginning January 1, 2015, resolutions must use tier B with a link public notice as provided in the Local Government Public Notice Act.

Changes advertising requirements for purchases and sales exceeding $25,000: before January 1, 2015, advertisement in a local newspaper at least 2 weeks before bid opening is required; beginning January 1, 2015, tier B with a link public notice under the Local Government Public Notice Act applies.

Makes technical grammatical changes throughout sections 16 and 17, including changing "funds" to "money," "shall" to "is," and other language modernizations.

Act takes effect only if House Bill No. 5560 of the 97th Legislature is enacted into law.
