Amends the 1871 Public Act 164 regarding procedures for vacating cemetery plats and grounds within incorporated cities and villages.

Requires petitions to vacate cemeteries to be signed and sworn before the county clerk and must include the filer's authority, reasons for the petition, and a specific description of the cemetery premises.

For hearings held before January 1, 2015, notice must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the county once weekly for 4 successive weeks before the hearing.

For hearings held after December 31, 2014, notice must be given through Tier A public notice under the Local Government Public Notice Act, with the first publication occurring 14 to 30 days before the hearing date.

This amendatory act does not take effect unless House Bill No. 5560 of the 97th Legislature is enacted into law.
