Urges Congress to maintain funding levels for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) without reduction.

Notes that the Great Lakes hold 20 percent of world's and 90 percent of U.S. surface freshwater, supplying drinking water to over 30 million people across eight states and two Canadian provinces.

States federal government invested over $1.3 billion through GLRI over four years to clean toxic sites, reduce runoff, restore habitats, and combat invasive species, though only a portion of the estimated $26 billion needed for full restoration.

Opposes proposed congressional cuts of up to 80 percent to GLRI funding, arguing such reductions would harm Great Lakes health and regional economic benefits estimated at $50 billion long-term and $30-$50 billion short-term.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to the President of the U.S. Senate, Speaker of the U.S. House, and Michigan's congressional delegation.
