Identifies that many injuries result from improvised explosive devices (IEDs) packed with metal fragments such as nails and screws that remain permanently in veterans' bodies

Seeks to reduce humiliation and mistreatment of veterans during airport security screening by providing identification of their unique circumstances, while noting current TSA expedited screening requires advance contact and offers no guarantees

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, and Michigan's congressional delegation
