Highlights that the five-year survival rate for women whose breast cancer has not spread beyond the breast at diagnosis is 99 percent.

Urges all Michiganders to educate themselves about breast cancer during this month and take proactive steps to reduce their risks through appropriate screenings, particularly for women age 40 and older.
