Honors the Honorable Rudy Hobbs for his four years of service as state representative for the Thirty-fifth District and his contributions to the Michigan House of Representatives.

Recognizes Hobbs' background as a Southfield resident and educator with degrees from Michigan State University, plus experience as district director for U.S. Congressman Sander Levin and advisor to Lieutenant Governor John Cherry on education and economic reform.

Commends Hobbs for receiving Legislator of the Year awards in 2011 from both the Michigan Municipal League and Building Owners and Managers Association, and for his work on education, tax policy, energy and technology committees.

Notes that Hobbs' colleagues selected him to serve as Minority Floor Leader in 2013, recognizing his leadership abilities.
