Honors the Honorable Woodrow Stanley upon concluding his six-year tenure in the Michigan House of Representatives representing the Thirty-fourth District.

Stanley served as Flint's 2nd ward councilman starting in 1983, mayor from 1991, and on the Genesee County Board of Commissioners, and held leadership roles as president of the Michigan Municipal League and Michigan Association of Mayors.

As state legislator, Stanley advocated for property tax relief through residential abatements, natural resource protection, automobile insurance reform, hate crime legislation, and expanding absentee voting access.

House extends gratitude to Stanley for his years of public service and commitment to Michigan communities and citizens.
