Requires the Michigan Department of Education to provide information to school districts, intermediate school districts, and public school academies upon request regarding career and technical education programs that help fulfill graduation requirements under sections 1278a and 1278b.

Mandates the department compile and post on its website best practices in career and technical education, including descriptions of successful programs, available program types, and ways schools can partner with businesses, nonprofits, and colleges to provide career and technical education.

Requires school district and public school academy boards to inform students during educational development planning about how career and technical education or department-approved programs can fulfill graduation requirements.

Encourages school districts, public school academies, and intermediate school districts to establish programs where completion counts toward professional certificates, apprenticeships, or college credit upon high school graduation.

Effective 91 days after the end of the 2014 regular legislative session; approved by the Governor on September 30, 2014.
