Adds definitions for "fire protection system inspector" and "fire protection system plan reviewer" to the building official registration act, establishing qualifications for inspecting and reviewing fire protection systems under Michigan building code standards.

Expands Section 9 to include fire protection system inspectors and plan reviewers in the commission's authority to revoke or suspend registration for violations of the act or its rules.

Allows the commission to register fire protection system inspectors without examination if they hold certifications from the National Fire Protection Association or International Code Council as Fire Inspector I and II, and attest to understanding the Michigan building code.

Allows the commission to register fire protection system plan reviewers without examination if they hold certifications as Fire Inspector I and Plans Examiner from the National Fire Protection Association or International Code Council, and attest to understanding the Michigan building code.

Becomes effective February 4, 2014, 90 days after enactment on November 5, 2013.
