Adds prohibition on selling or advertising mattresses as new or custom-made if made from used mattresses or containing materials/components from used mattresses.

Establishes detailed list of unlawful unfair, unconscionable, or deceptive methods, acts, or practices in trade or commerce under the Michigan Consumer Protection Act.

Prohibits merchants from requiring consumers to disclose social security numbers as a condition of sale, except for credit applications, legally required disclosures, credit reporting, landlord background checks, or fraud prevention in remote transactions.

Restricts display of credit or debit card expiration dates and account numbers on receipts to protect consumer financial information, effective March 1, 2005.

Requires clear and conspicuous disclosures for prize promotions that require sales presentations, including prize value, terms for claiming, and description of products being offered for sale.
