Waives initial license fees and application processing fees for veterans who served in the armed forces and separated with an honorable or general discharge, applying for security guard, private security police, or security alarm system contractor licenses.

Allows military police officers or equivalent with at least 2 years of active service to qualify for a private security guard license if they have entry-level experience or basic knowledge in enforcement, security, site operations, prisoner oversight, and surveillance.

Removes the 21-year-old age requirement for military veterans applying under the military police officer pathway to obtain a private security guard license.

Maintains existing license requirements including $200-$500 license fees (depending on applicant type), $25,000 bonds or insurance policies, and 180-day application processing timelines.

Effective August 20, 2014.
