Allows parents or guardians to release liability for economic or noneconomic damages for injuries sustained by minors during recreational activities sponsored or organized by nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations.

Permits release of the activity sponsor/organizer and paid or volunteer coaches/assistants from liability for injuries resulting from inherent risks of the recreational activity.

Allows release to cover negligence if the release document specifically mentions negligence, but prohibits release from gross negligence or intentional acts.

Requires liability releases to be provided in writing.

Defines "recreational activity" as active participation in athletic or recreational sports or camping activities.
