Amends the Security Alarm Systems Act (2012 PA 580) to modify definitions related to security alarm systems and system providers in Michigan.

Expands the definition of "alarm system" to include electronic access control systems, video monitoring systems, burglar alarm systems, smoke detectors, and other electronic systems designed to emit audible alarms or transmit signals to central monitoring stations.

Excludes security guard agencies licensed under the Occupational Code from the definition of "system provider" when responding to burglar, fire, or supervisory alarms and performing normal end-user functions like video monitoring, alarm reset, and access control.

Excludes security guard agencies from registration requirements when using client-installed equipment or equipment installed by registered system providers for protecting client personnel and property.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment, contingent upon passage of Senate Bills 983, 984, and 986 of the 97th Legislature.
