Allows law enforcement agencies to purchase, possess, and distribute opioid antagonists (naloxone or FDA-approved equivalents) to trained peace officers.

Permits peace officers to administer opioid antagonists to individuals when the officer has received proper training and reasonably believes the person is experiencing an opioid-related overdose.

Provides civil liability immunity for law enforcement agencies and peace officers administering opioid antagonists in good faith, except in cases of gross negligence that proximately causes injury or damage.

Prohibits criminal prosecution of law enforcement agencies and peace officers for purchasing, possessing, distributing, or administering opioid antagonists under this act.

Applies to regularly employed law enforcement officers, Michigan tribal police, legislative sergeants at arms, multicounty district officers, and college/university public safety officers.
