Creates a new felony offense for detainees or prisoners who throw or attempt to throw bodily material (blood, urine, saliva, or feces) on peace officers, corrections officers, parole officers, or probation officers in holding cells, lockups, jails, or state correctional facilities.

Establishes punishment of imprisonment for not more than 4 years, a fine of not more than $2,000, or both.

Allows persons to be charged with and convicted of other violations of law in addition to or instead of this offense.

Applies to actions taken within holding cells, holding centers, lockups, jails, or state correctional facilities as defined in the corrections code of 1953.
