Amends the Revised Judicature Act to add protections for wind energy systems against nuisance lawsuits if the system complies with Michigan Land Use Guidelines for Siting Wind Energy Systems and applicable zoning ordinances at the time of operation.

Wind energy systems complying with extension siting guidelines and zoning ordinances cannot be deemed public or private nuisances.

Defendants who prevail in nuisance actions against compliant wind energy systems are entitled to recover costs and reasonable attorney fees from plaintiffs.

Nuisance actions based on wind energy system noncompliance may only be brought by property owners or persons directly affected by the violation.

Michigan Public Service Commission must adopt by rule the most recent version of siting guidelines published after the law's effective date if changes protect human health, safety, and the environment while promoting cost-effective wind electricity generation.
