School boards must annually report to the superintendent of public instruction the number of pupils expelled or suspended from the district, along with counts of truant, chronically absent, or disciplinary absent pupils.

For each expulsion or suspension, reports must include a brief written description of the incident, participants involved, and disciplinary outcomes.

For truancy and absenteeism incidents, reports must contain a brief written statement of data establishing the pupil's truant, chronically absent, or disciplinary absent status.

School boards must annually report all school crime incidents including physical violence, gang-related activity, drug possession, trespassing, and property crimes with estimated costs, with reports disaggregated by individual school building and made available to parents.

School buildings must collect and maintain crime information weekly and provide it within 7 days upon request; bill takes effect only if Senate Bill 1151 is enacted into law.
