Change the date of Michigan's statewide presidential primary election from the fourth Tuesday in February to the third Tuesday in March in each presidential election year.

Exclude political parties that received 5% or less of the total nationwide vote for president in the last presidential election from participating in the presidential primary election.

Conduct the statewide presidential primary election under the same provisions that govern general primary elections, except as otherwise specified in sections 614a to 616a, 624g, 759a, 759c, and 879a.

This act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No. 1160 is enacted into law.
