Recognizes Michigan as a national leader in trails with 6,407 miles of snowmobile trails, 2,712 miles of multiuse rail trails (most in the nation), 3,627 miles of ORV trails, 590 miles of equestrian trails, 1,150 miles of the North Country National Scenic Trail, 905 miles of mountain biking trails, and extensive water trails.

Acknowledges trails provide multiple benefits including outdoor recreation, exercise opportunities, safe school routes, economic development, and property value enhancement.

Celebrates volunteer organizations and partnerships that drive trail development, funding, maintenance, and promotion, including more than 25 friend groups for multiuse rail trails and mountain bikers who volunteer over 50,000 hours annually.

Recognizes snowmobilers' leadership in trail acquisition and equestrian groups' efforts to improve and maintain trails throughout Michigan.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to the Governor, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, National Park Service, Department of Natural Resources, and Michigan Trails and Greenway Alliance.
