Honors Lieutenant Colonel Matt Urban, a World War II Medal of Honor recipient and the most highly decorated soldier in U.S. military history, for his military service and post-war contributions to Michigan and the nation.

Recognizes Urban's military service including six campaigns in the Mediterranean and European theaters during World War II and 29 total medals awarded, including two Silver Stars, three Bronze Stars, and seven Purple Hearts.

Acknowledges Urban's post-war public service in Michigan as recreation director for Port Huron, director of the Monroe Community Center, director of the Holland Civic Center and Recreation Department, and his lifelong involvement in veterans affairs.

Notes that Urban was born on August 25, 1919, in Buffalo, New York, graduated from Cornell University, joined the U.S. Army in 1941, and passed away in 1995.

Directs the Senate to transmit copies of this resolution to the Matt Urban Memorial Committee in recognition of his heroism and service.
