Designates June 27, 2014, as Michigan Post Traumatic Stress Injury Awareness Day.

Notes that more than 2 million U.S. service members have deployed since September 11, 2001, with many serving multiple combat tours and at high risk for post traumatic stress injury.

States that the Department of Veterans Affairs reported more than 500,000 veterans received PTSI treatment at VA medical centers in fiscal year 2012.

Recognizes that PTSI significantly increases risk of depression, suicide, and substance-related disorders.

Urges the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency and the Adjutant General to continue educating service members, veterans, families, and the public about causes, symptoms, and treatment of post traumatic stress injury.
