Proclaims October 16, 2014, as Dr. Abraham Nemeth Day in Michigan to honor the mathematician and educator born on that date in 1918.

Recognizes Dr. Nemeth's development of the Nemeth Braille Code for Mathematics and Science Notation, which became the official code in the United States, Canada, and New Zealand.

Acknowledges Dr. Nemeth's 30-year tenure at the University of Detroit Mercy's Department of Mathematics (1955-1985) and his creation of MathSpeak, a system for reading mathematical formulas aloud.

Honors his achievements including chairing the Michigan Commission for Blind (1991-1993), receiving the Migel Medal from the American Foundation for the Blind (1999), and earning the Creative Use of Braille Award (2001).

Directs transmission of the resolution to the National Federation of the Blind as recognition of Dr. Nemeth's legacy in enabling blind individuals to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
