MI HB4008

Amends the Michigan Code of Criminal Procedure to add sentencing guidelines for seven additional felonies related to public trust and public order violations.

Adds offenses including false statements by peace officers in complaints (Class C, 15-year maximum), perjury in prosecutor's investigative hearings (Class C or B depending on crime severity), and tampering with electronic monitoring devices (Class G, 2-year maximum).

Includes three wiretapping-related felonies: unauthorized interception or disclosure of wire/oral/electronic communications (Class F, 4-year maximum), unauthorized manufacture or possession of interception devices (Class F, 4-year maximum), and unauthorized disclosure of communication interception (Class F, 4-year maximum).

Adds failure by sex offenders to provide correct notice of proposed domicile as a Class F felony with 4-year maximum penalty.

Takes effect only if House Bill 4007 or Senate Bill (number unspecified) of the 98th Legislature is enacted into law.
