MI HB4328

Authorizes the Department of Education to withhold school aid payments to districts or intermediate districts that fail to submit or obtain approval of a deficit elimination plan under MCL 380.1220.

Requires the Department of Education to consult with the Department of Treasury, the district's chief administrative officer, and the intermediate superintendent when administering deficit elimination plan requirements.

Authorizes the State Treasurer to withhold school aid for districts required to submit an enhanced deficit elimination plan, with release of funds contingent on Treasury Department approval.

Makes all school aid allocations to districts and intermediate districts contingent on their compliance with deficit elimination plan requirements.

Effective July 7, 2015, contingent on the enactment of House Bills 4325, 4327, and 4330 of the 98th Legislature.
