Amends Michigan court rules to allow alternate service of process when a court order protects a party's address or restricts contact between parties in an appeal.

Requires parties to deliver extra copies of process or papers to the Supreme Court or Court of Appeals clerk with a request for the clerk or designated officer to serve the protected party.

Authorizes service at either the confidential address provided by the protected party to the court or, if unavailable, the last known address from the trial court or court of appeals.

Applies to both Supreme Court appeals (Section 227) and Court of Appeals cases (Section 316).

Effective date: July 25, 2016 (90 days after enactment on April 26, 2016).
