Establishes a statewide trail network including Pure Michigan Trails and Pure Michigan Water Trails, with designated uses specified for each trail segment, subject to public meetings and advisory council review.

Requires the department to maintain a website database of trail maps that designates Pure Michigan Trails and Water Trails, allows users to download or print maps, and work with interested parties to develop a mobile software application for trail information.

Creates a new section 72117 requiring the department to collaborate with tribal governments, educators, universities, state transportation, the arts council, and historical societies to develop and implement a master plan promoting and preserving Native American history in Michigan.

Directs the department to compile information about historically significant Native American places, disseminate it through websites and brochures, and sponsor commemorations, seminars, and public forums on Native American history.

Requires the department to assist with National Register of Historic Places applications and Michigan historical markers for Native American sites, seek public and private funding for cultural heritage protection, and provide signage recognition of significant Native American places along trails.
