Requires insurers delivering or renewing hospital, medical, surgical, or health maintenance organization policies to cover colorectal cancer screening examinations and laboratory tests assigned a grade A or B by the United States Preventive Services Task Force.

For individuals age 50 or older, coverage must include one of the following: annual fecal occult blood test with flexible sigmoidoscopy every 5 years, colonoscopy every 10 years (including polyp removal), or double contrast barium enema every 5 years.

For individuals at high risk for colorectal cancer, coverage must include screening examinations and laboratory tests as recommended by a health care provider; high-risk factors include family history of colorectal cancer, prior cancer or precursor polyps, chronic digestive diseases, or other predisposing factors.

Prohibits insurers from applying dollar limits, copayments, deductibles, or coinsurance to required colorectal cancer screening coverage.

Applies to policies, certificates, and contracts delivered, executed, issued, amended, adjusted, or renewed in Michigan beginning one year after enactment; does not apply to specified disease or accident-only coverage.
