Amends the Stille-DeRossett-Hale single state construction code act to modify the definition of "building" under MCL 125.1502a.

Excludes from the definition of "building" any structure on agricultural land that is incidental to agricultural use and not used in retail trade.

Excludes existing barns from the building definition if they are unheated and unair-conditioned, located on agricultural land, owned and operated by the landowner, and used only for agricultural purposes or seasonal private events.

Changes statutory language by replacing "pursuant to" with "under" in multiple sections for consistency in drafting.

Clarifies that the code's definitions and references apply to rules promulgated under the act, including the construction code itself.
