Increases maximum imprisonment for vulnerable adult abuse in the first degree from 15 years to 20 years, while maintaining the fine of not more than $10,000.00.

Maintains existing penalties for second degree vulnerable adult abuse: up to 4 years imprisonment or fine not more than $5,000.00.

Maintains existing penalties for third degree vulnerable adult abuse: up to 2 years imprisonment or fine not more than $2,500.00.

Maintains existing penalties for fourth degree vulnerable adult abuse: up to 1 year imprisonment or fine not more than $1,000.00.

Updates reference in patient advocate designation exemption from sections 5506 to 5515 to sections 5506 to 5520 of the Estates and Protected Individuals Code.
