Removes the exception for hunting knives from the prohibition on carrying concealed daggers, dirks, stilettos, and other dangerous weapons.

Adds hunting knives adapted and carried as such as an explicit exemption to the concealed weapons prohibition, allowing them to be carried concealed on a person or in a vehicle.

Adds pistols as an explicit exemption to the concealed weapons prohibition, allowing them to be carried concealed on a person or in a vehicle.

Repeals section 231a of the Michigan penal code, which previously regulated pistol carry requirements and licensing restrictions.

Changes the penalty for violation from a felony with imprisonment up to 5 years or a fine, to a felony with imprisonment up to 5 years or a fine of not more than $2,500.
