Expands exemption from electrical contractor licensing to allow mechanical contractors licensed under the Forbes Mechanical Contractors Act (1984 PA 192) to perform installation, maintenance, service, repair, and upgrading of control wiring circuits and electrical component parts within mechanical systems.

Permits licensed plumbing contractors under the State Plumbing Act (2002 PA 733) and their employees to perform work on control wiring circuits and electrical components in mechanical systems including boilers, water heaters, furnaces, air conditioning units, and related thermostats and sensors.

Limits exemption to work on the load side of the unit disconnect and excludes life safety systems wiring from the exemption.

Amends language in section 7(3)(d) replacing "where" with "if" and in section 7(3)(f) replacing "rendering" with "providing" for clarification.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment.
