Amends the large carnivore act definitions to clarify that "law enforcement officer" includes peace officers trained and licensed or certified under the Michigan commission on law enforcement standards act (1965 PA 203).

Adds animal control officers to the definition of "law enforcement officer" for purposes of enforcing large carnivore regulations.

Defines "large carnivore" to include specified wild cats (lions, leopards, jaguars, tigers, cougars, panthers, cheetahs) and bears, whether wild or captive bred, including hybrids.

Clarifies that "circus" exemption applies only to incorporated Class C licensees under 9 CFR chapter I, and excludes exhibitions, educational presentations, or entertainment involving close patron contact.

Becomes effective January 2, 2017, contingent upon Senate Bill No. 92 of the 98th Legislature being enacted into law.
