• Allows Michigan residents to indicate "DNR" (do not resuscitate) or "NHM" (no heroic measures) designations on a separate emergency medical information card carried with their official state personal identification card.

• Permits individuals to voluntarily place stickers or decals on their identification card to indicate they carry a separate emergency medical information card containing medical directives and emergency contact information.

• Requires the Secretary of State to designate a space on identification cards where applicants may place uniform-sized stickers or decals meeting state specifications, which may be provided by hospitals, schools, medical groups, or associations.

• The emergency medical information card may contain blood type, immunization data, medication data, patient advocate designations, DNR/NHM designations, and information about where emergency medical information is stored or registered.

• Maintains existing identification card requirements while adding provisions for individuals to communicate critical medical directives and emergency contact information through optional supplementary documentation.
