Renames the firearms licensing act to the "Michigan Firearms Act" and expands the title to include regulation of ammunition, transportation, and storage of firearms.

Allows individuals who lawfully possess firearms or ammunition to transport and store them in locked, privately-owned vehicles parked in business, commercial, employer, or state agency parking areas, provided the firearm remains out of plain view and complies with Michigan penal code requirements.

Prohibits businesses, commercial enterprises, employers, and state service agencies from preventing employees from transporting or storing lawfully-possessed firearms in locked personal vehicles on their premises in compliance with the act.

Provides businesses and employers with civil liability immunity from damages caused by firearms stored in vehicles (except in cases of gross negligence) and allows individuals denied this right to sue for injunctive relief and recover attorney fees.

Prohibits employers from discharging or penalizing employees for lawfully transporting or storing firearms in their personal vehicles; discharged employees can demand reinstatement, back pay, benefits, and attorney fees, or pursue civil action if the demand is denied or ignored for 14 days.
