Allows courts to order transfer of wireless telephone billing responsibility and rights to a petitioner in domestic violence or no-contact order cases when the petitioner is not the named customer.

Applies to actions under MCL 600.2950(1) or 2950a(1), or when a respondent has been ordered in a separate criminal case to have no contact with the petitioner or a minor child in the petitioner's legal custody.

Court order must include the named customer's name and billing number, petitioner's name and telephone number, and each telephone number to be transferred, while protecting the petitioner's contact information from disclosure.

Does not affect the court's authority to determine temporary use and possession of personal property or apportion assets and debts under other law provisions.

Effective 90 days after enactment (September 29, 2016), contingent on passage of House Bill 5642.
