Amends sentencing guidelines for offense variable 3 (physical injury to victim) to eliminate a sunset provision that would have increased the alcohol content threshold from 0.08 to 0.10 grams per 100 milliliters of blood beginning October 1, 2018.

Keeps the 0.08 grams alcohol content threshold permanently in effect for scoring 50 points when death results from vehicle/vessel operation and the offender had an alcohol content of 0.08 or more.

Amends offense variable 18 (operator ability affected by alcohol or drugs) to eliminate the same sunset provision that would have raised the threshold from 0.08 to 0.10 grams, maintaining the lower 0.08 threshold for scoring 10 points.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment and is contingent on House Bill 5742 or Senate Bill (number blank) also being enacted into law.
