Prohibits detainees or prisoners in holding cells, jails, or state correctional facilities from throwing or attempting to throw bodily material (blood, urine, saliva, or feces) on peace officers, corrections officers, parole officers, or probation officers.

Makes it illegal to cause or attempt to cause such officers to come into contact with bodily material while performing their duties.

Establishes violation as a felony punishable by imprisonment of not more than 4 years, a fine of not more than $2,000, or both.

Allows prosecutors to charge and convict individuals under other applicable laws in addition to or instead of this offense.

Defines key terms including "bodily material" and facility types by reference to the Michigan Corrections Code.
