Designates September 16, 2016, as POW/MIA Recognition Day in Michigan to honor prisoners of war and those missing in action.

Recognizes that 83,467 Americans have been listed as prisoners of war or missing in action since World War II, including 73,681 from WWII, 7,951 from the Korean War, 1,657 from Vietnam, 127 from the Cold War, and 6 from Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.

Honors military personnel who were captured or went missing while serving and affirms the commitment to account for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Notes that the POW/MIA flag will fly alongside U.S. and Michigan state flags on September 20 as a reminder of the ongoing duty to find, repatriate, and honor these service members.
