Declares September 11-17, 2016, as Patriot Week in the state of Michigan.

Recognizes the importance of understanding American history, founding principles, and the principles of revolution, rule of law, social contract, equality, unalienable rights, and limited government to the survival of the republic.

Acknowledges the significance of the signing of the Constitution on September 17, 1787, and honors the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Calls for citizens, schools, government agencies, municipalities, and nonprofit and business organizations to recognize and participate in Patriot Week by honoring and celebrating America's first principles, historical figures, founding documents, and national symbols.
