Cites that one in five women, at least 6% of men, and over 40% of LGBT college students in Michigan experience sexual assault during their time as students.

Notes that approximately 61% of sexual assaults go unreported and that 80% of college sexual assaults are committed by someone known to the victim.

Recognizes that sexual assault education increases bystander intervention, improves outcomes for at-risk individuals, and increases opposition to rape.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to Michigan Senate, the Governor, and student affairs offices at all Michigan colleges and universities.
