Provides medical benefits to surviving spouses and dependent children of public safety officers killed in the line of duty on or after October 1, 2015, comparable to those offered to Michigan State Police trooper retirees.

Medical coverage is limited to 60 months after the officer's death or the effective date of this section, whichever is later, and terminates for surviving spouses upon Medicare eligibility.

Coverage does not apply if the surviving spouse or dependent child already qualifies for medical benefits through another source or a state-administered retirement system.

Defines "dependent child" to include unmarried natural or adopted children, stepchildren, children placed for adoption, and children under 18 with full legal guardianship awarded to the officer.

Designates the Office of Retirement Services to administer benefits as part of the Michigan State Police trooper retiree medical benefit plan, with discretion to determine comparable coverage terms.
