• Mandates that parents or legal guardians of home-schooled children maintain and produce records of these required meetings upon request, including signed documentation from the meeting professional.

• Clarifies that exemptions from public school attendance for home-schooled children and nonpublic school attendance only apply if parents comply with the reporting and meeting requirements in section 1578.

• Takes effect 90 days after enactment into law.
