Prohibits intentionally disseminating sexually explicit visual material of another person with intent to threaten, coerce, or intimidate if the person is at least 18 years old and identifiable from the material.

Requires that the material was obtained under circumstances where a reasonable person would understand it was to remain private and the person knows or reasonably should know the other person did not consent to dissemination.

Exempts interactive computer services, telecommunications providers, news reporting, artistic and expressive works, and law enforcement officers acting in official capacity from the prohibition.

Violation is a criminal offense with penalties provided in section 145f of Michigan Compiled Law.

Effective July 25, 2016.
