Amends MCL 257.801 to modify vehicle registration renewal procedures by adding a 120-day grace period for late registration renewals.

Secretary of state shall waive the $10.00 late fee for vehicle registration renewals if the registrant presents proof of storage insurance for the vehicle during the period between expiration and renewal application.

The late fee waiver requires the registrant to request the waiver in person at a department of state branch office at the time of renewal application.

Maintains the existing $10.00 late fee for registrations renewed after expiration date, but provides this new waiver mechanism for vehicles with continuous storage insurance coverage.
