Eliminates the 2,640-foot distance restriction for specially designated distributor licenses issued to establishments in resort areas under subsection (5), allowing such licenses to be issued regardless of proximity to existing specially designated distributor license locations.

Removes language stating that a specially designated distributor license issued under section 533 may be located within 2,640 feet of a resort-area specially designated distributor license issued under subsection (5).

Allows existing specially designated distributor licensees to transfer their location to within 2,640 feet of a resort-area specially designated distributor licensed location without restriction.

Changes the population threshold in subsection (5) from 50,000 or less to 10,000 or less for local governmental units eligible to issue additional specially designated distributor licenses for resort areas.
