Requires insurers delivering or renewing expense-incurred hospital, medical, or surgical policies and HMOs issuing or renewing group or individual contracts to cover scalp hair prosthesis for individuals with scalp hair loss from medical conditions or medical treatment if physician certifies medical necessity.

Coverage for scalp hair prosthesis must apply to policies, certificates, and contracts that already provide coverage for other prostheses.

Scalp hair prosthesis coverage is not subject to dollar limits, deductibles, and coinsurance provisions that are less favorable than those applied to other prosthesis coverage.

Defines "prosthesis" as an artificial appliance replacing lost natural structures (including artificial arms, legs, breasts, or eyes) and "scalp hair prosthesis" as any artificial substitutes for scalp hair.

Becomes effective 180 days after enactment for policies, certificates, and contracts delivered, executed, issued, amended, or renewed in Michigan or outside Michigan if covering state residents.
