Each field operations administration region shall provide quarterly lists to the Department of Health and Human Services identifying paroled individuals who have absconded from supervision and are being actively sought by law enforcement.

"Abscond" is defined as an individual intentionally failing to report to their supervising agent and intentionally failing to advise the agent of their whereabouts.

"Actively seeking" means a law enforcement agency intends to enforce an outstanding felony warrant or arrest a supervised individual for a parole violation within 30 days, or the individual has an active National Crime Information Center warrant for escape, flight to avoid, or flight and escape.

"Supervised individual" is limited to individuals released from prison on parole, excluding those on probation.

The act takes effect 90 days after enactment and is contingent upon Senate Bill 944 of the 98th Legislature being enacted into law.
